At the hospital with my mother. Waiting for the doctor - concerned she may now have pneumonia. Health care waiting times improved??
Mother weak. Have got her a nurse. Building strength. The infection I believe was never fully cured. Busy day but has to be done.

Returning home. My mother is very sick again. I am sorry to say that she clearly has not shaken her infection. A great worry.

In North Korea there is no organized political opposition, free media, functioning civil society, or religious freedom. Slave state.
In North Korea a large number of those suffering from malnutritIon and the consequences of food shortages are women and children.
Heard testimony from a North Korean refugee. Very emotional and very sad. The repression and the impact it has had on her family.
Among the delegates is Congressman Ed Royce (USA), Masaharu Nakagawa (Japan), Hwang Woo-Yea (Korea), Noah Idechong (Palau).
At the start of the General Meeting of the 7th International Parliamentarians Coalition for North Korean Refugees and Human Rights.
I Chair a session today on "Current Conditions/Improvements on North Korean Human Rights." Delegates from 13 countries here.
